SERVICES

Don’t leave your corporate credibility to anonymous online gig-work sites. Your project deserves experience and an understanding of the needs across the complete communications process. As well as writing and editing content, I have overseen corporate rebranding, website and intranet builds from development to launch. I am happy working individually, in-house or as part of an existing or new team. My editorial background has given me excellent team management skills and the diplomacy to liaise with all stakeholders—from junior interns to tech teams, to senior partners and Lords (working in-house at the Palace of Westminster, you never knew who would pop in to the office to discuss the communications content).

Comms, Content and CMS

I specialise in writing and editing accessible content, targeted at the right audience to meet organisational aims. I am a passionate advocate for plain language – helping to boost readability, suitability for translation, and SEO results. I am experienced in working to in-house style and tone of voice.

As well as producing content, I also project manage, put together content teams, proofread, upload and correct content live in html in the CMS. I’ve worked with a range of bespoke systems, Wordpress and Sitecore.

In 2018, I also worked at the International Broadcast Centre for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games as a data logger for global broadcast company NEP.

CLARIVATE ANALYTICS

Working for London design agency, Crown&Co, I put a small team together to edit content and proofread the new site for global giant Clarivate before the site launched to a tight timeframe.

LONDON BUSINESS SCHOOL

With a web team busy all day updating the London Business School (LBS) website, I was able to work for the team on an overnight shift, accessing their CMS remotely from Australia, building the LBS Alumni site from scratch using Sitecore.

I also worked in Sitecore CMS to build and edit page content and photos for the London Business School Review.

Interviews and reviews

I have written articles and blogs for Accuracy Matters, Foundry Productions, Scouting Magazine, Womankind, and EPDA magazine, London Short Film Festival and the Encounters International Film Festival, and helped produce vox pop stories for educational multimedia projects for government agencies.

To produce a series of case studies for the Queensland Education Department, I interviewed Early Childhood specialists and wrote up their stories for a promotional recruitment pack.

I am passionate about how the Arts make a positive difference in our community. I interview artists and write articles and reviews for Australia's only national magazine devoted to the theatre. Simply go to the Stage Whispers website and search 'Beth Keehn' to find my recent reviews.

As guest blogger at the Encounters International Film Festival for three years, I also specialised in speedy reviews and live web updates. Did I mention I also got to meet Nick Park from Aardman Animation?

Podcasts

My extracurricular projects include writing scripts and podcast co-production with Sara-Mae Tuson’s Fable Gazers.

Sara-Mae won a bronze award at the 2019 London Podcast Awards for her first series, The Sugar Baby Confessionals. We are currently working on series 2 – Heyer Today about best-selling author, Georgette Heyer.

Co-working and communications teams

I have successfully collaborated with colleagues on several projects for more than 10 years. My colleagues and I have a track record of successful co-working on a range of communications projects – from writing and proofreading copy to uploading and correcting live in a variety of content management systems.
